Student Success

Student Success

Retaining and graduating students is always at the core of student success, but there is more we can do to support students. While the return on investment of a college education is paramount, we also measure the quality and value of the entire student learning experience.

This emphasis on prioritizing the comprehensive experience of a student’s time at the UO is part of our mission and purpose. It’s fundamental to who we are as Ducks. With you, we can ensure that every student who starts their journey at the UO completes it and goes on to thrive in their chosen career field with a fully-fledged network of support.

We have identified the following four student success priorities as part of the Oregon150 Initiative:

Our Priorities

Access for All

Your investment empowers Ducks from all backgrounds, opening the doors to the brightest minds our country has to offer, ensuring they have equal opportunities to succeed at the UO, and helping them thrive and become tomorrow's leaders, today.

Academics and Research

By partnering with us to support academic initiatives at Oregon, you help bring together innovative faculty and student-researchers from diverse fields to tackle multifaceted challenges and global issues.

Student Support Services

Our priority is to encompass comprehensive support services from recruitment to graduation. Together, we can foster a sense of belonging and inclusion that bolsters retention rates and ensures that all Ducks thrive academically and personally within our university community.

Career Preparation and Networking

Your support strengthens student's career preparation through experiential learning opportunities such as study abroad, internships, and research, and increases their ability to gain practical skills and build crucial professional networks.
