University Venture Development Fund

• Individuals and corporations may contribute
• Give cash or publicly traded stock
• There is a limit to the total Oregon income tax credits the UO can issue; credits are available on a first-come, first-served basis

• Receive a state tax credit equal to 60 percent of your contribution, up to a maximum of $600,000 per year (maximum gift is $1 million)
• Tax credit can be used in its entirety in the year the donation is made or carried forward an additional two years
• Your credit for any tax year may not exceed your tax liability for that year.

It's simple and easy. Along with your gift, submit your application for a tax credit certificate. The UO will review your application. If it's approved, you will receive a certificate to use when filing your Oregon tax return.
