Oregon150: Rising Together

As the University of Oregon approaches its 150th anniversary, we are seizing a historic opportunity to reflect and rise together. Oregon150 is a bold fundraising initiative designed to fuel Oregon Rising, our strategic framework for the future.

Our aspiration is to be a preeminent and innovative public research university that enriches the human condition. Through Oregon150, we are rallying support around two key priorities: advancing student success and investing in transformative capital projects.

Be a part of the UO’s next chapter. Learn how we’re preparing students through academic excellence, impactful programs, and support services—and how we’re shaping collaborative, future-focused spaces in Eugene and Portland.

The Black Cultural Center is sustaining aspirations with the support of donors

Named in honor of civil rights activist and University of Oregon alumna Lyllye Reynolds-Parker, the Black Cultural Center (BCC) continues her legacy of advocacy, mentorship, and student support. Powered by engaged students and generous donors, the BCC provides vital resources, guidance, and a strong sense of community for Black students navigating college life. Donor support for the center’s scholarship and innovation funds helps expand access, spark new ideas, and empower students to pursue their goals with confidence.

Lead designer at Nike Footwear gives back to the UO where he got his start

Wilson Smith, BArch ’81, joined the College of Design with a clear vision of becoming an architect—and went on to build a career that has left a lasting mark on global design. As the first Black footwear designer at Nike, Smith helped shape some of the brand’s most iconic designs of the 1990s. He later returned to the College of Design as a donor and instructor, where meaningful conversations with students about culture, identity, and representation underscored the power of design.
