UO Portland Internship Experience

The Portland Internship Experience is a summer internship program that connects UO undergraduate students with a Portland business or organization. This valuable program is made possible by donors like you!
Students:

  • spend 10 weeks at a summer internship in Portland
  • receive a $7,000 stipend
  • learn important career skills such as writing resumes, interviewing, and working in a professional setting
  • join social activities and events with others in the program
  • make a difference in the community.

With your gifts, we will be able to sustain and grow this program so that even more students can benefit from this invaluable career-preparing experience!

Jane Gordon

“By taking a holistic approach to internships, we’ve built a program that creates a rich and meaningful experience for UO students and host sites. Students are supported throughout the program by staff who help them prepare for their internship, reflect, problem-solve, and grow during the summer, with an emphasis on developing workplace skills. The summer is often transformative, with students enjoying a new level of confidence and connection heading back to Eugene for fall term.”
