Lauren Goss, Athletics Archivist at the University of Oregon, leads an engaging webinar exploring how Oregon’s athletic legacy is preserved and brought to life. She shares how archival collections are curated and cared for, how primary sources support teaching and research across disciplines, and how exhibits and outreach initiatives engage alumni, students, and supporters.

David McCormick explores enduring questions of meaning, happiness, and the kind of world we are collectively creating, drawing on insights from neuroscience, psychology, and centuries of philosophical thought. Through the center’s work and its course Happiness: a Neuroscience and Psychology Perspective, it uses the Head, Heart, Hands model to promote subjective well being and a healthy, flourishing mindset across the UO community.


Oregon 360: Through the Telescope an online look at the sun at Pine Mountain Observatory - Recorded on: June 21, 2024

During this online presentation, Dr. Scott Fisher introduces our own Pine Mountain Observatory (PMO) and the student-led research projects that are ongoing at the facility. He discusses the scale of the solar system. This video recording includes a live view of the sun!

Dr. Fisher is a faculty member at the University of Oregon Department of Physics where he teaches introductory-level astronomy courses and serves as director of Undergraduate Studies for the department. He is also the director of Pine Mountain Observatory, which is located about thirty miles east of Bend, OR in an area with some of the darkest skies left in the continental US.

In The Know Oregon 360 In Search of the Perfect Cup - The Chemistry of Coffee with Dr. Coffee - Recorded on: March 17, 2022

Oregon 360 donors gathered for a virtual event with Professor Christopher H. Hendon, also known as “Dr. Coffee,” for a fascinating exploration of the chemistry of coffee and its connection to energy and sustainable materials research at UO. Dr. Coffee held a virtual tasting event and coffee was shipped to Oregon 360 donors homes to be able to enjoy a special blend curated for Oregon 360. The event was a resounding success and we hope you will enjoy the recorded presentation.
