At the SPD Nucleus Lab (Maker Space), visitors will roll up their sleeves for a hands-on experience creating their own custom leather key chains, guided by current SPD students. Guests will also tour the Digital Fabrication Lab and one of the SPD studio spaces, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the innovative tools, technology, and creative environments where student projects come to life. For their recent Single-Stair Housing studio, Graduate architecture students in the Portland program produced infill housing projects advocating for socially and environmentally sustainable forms of multi-family living and code changes to unlock the density potential of Portland's inner Eastside.
