The John L. Hulteng Chair in Media Ethics and Responsibility was established by Elizabeth Hulteng in 1996 to support the study of journalistic ethics at the University of Oregon with the help of a distinguished faculty chair. The chair position honors the memory of John L. Hulteng, former dean and professor of the school.
