About the Fund
The HEDCO Professorship in Communication Disorders and Sciences was established by Dorothy Jernstedt in 1993 to support and enrich the Communication Disorders and Sciences Program at the University of Oregon.Mother and Son Duo Make Lasting Impact on the University of Oregon - Dody Jernstedt has been a pivotal force behind the HEDCO Education building, as well as, HEDCO faculty. Derek Jernstedt serves as a trustee for the University of Oregon Foundation and is a member of the College of Education Advisory Council. Through their work with the HEDCO and Quest Foundations, the Jernstedts support educational, social, and health-related non-profit organizations.
