Scholarships and Student Success

Transform Lives

For many promising students, scholarships represent the only path to a college degree. For top national scholars, they offer compelling reasons to attend the UO. This financial access—though absolutely necessary—is only the first step. Once the door is open, we offer strategic, practical, and effective support throughout each student’s university experience.

The university is recruiting top students, building a strong community of Ducks, and increasing diversity every year. Thanks to donors, more Ducks are graduating earlier—with better grades, less debt, and access to professional alumni networks and career paths.

Your gifts to scholarships, student programs, and emergency funds help our students gain access to crucial resources. We make sure these investments are efficiently put to use—in ways that get results. And what is the ultimate result? The answers are as distinct as each of our scholars. Ducks pursue different disciplines, explore individual interests, and launch careers in diverse fields.

Comprehensive Support

Our goals include helping Ducks become socially responsible and well educated, providing a positive UO experience, and preparing students for successful careers. Your gifts—invested wisely, allocated efficiently, and highly-leveraged—help us reach these goals.

In addition to scholarships, retention and career readiness programs help students thrive and prepare for the future. Short-term emergency funding helps them overcome obstacles along the way and avoid delaying—or derailing—their dreams of a college degree.
