In response to the nationwide COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, the UO is working hard to meet the unique needs of students. First and foremost is the safety of our students, faculty and staff, and you, our donors. We also are deeply committed to continuing our educational mission of academic research, teaching, and community service. The UO is responding to the needs of our students on an individual basis and is taking immediate action to ensure safety is priority.

Inquiries on how to help students have poured in from Ducks all over. In response, the university is raising support for the Students in Crisis fund, which will assist students who have encountered a situation involving unusual hardship. As students transition to a remote learning environment, needs are continuing to grow.

If you are able to give, the Students in Crisis fund exists precisely for this situationto assist students who have encountered unusual financial hardship caused by circumstances beyond their control.

At this moment, we know many of you are struggling with a similar set of challenges and we want to thank you for all that you are doing to support the UO. It’s with your help and support that we know we are well positioned to move the university forward during this uncertain time.
