This new facility will focus on scientific and technological breakthroughs at the nano-scale while serving to develop commercialization of new products, educate and train an advanced workforce, and enhance industry partnerships and applied research that stimulate business creation and economic development.

Green Chemistry Program
The UO is a world leader in green chemistry. Support is needed to renovate laboratory space and design new curricula to extend green chemistry instruction into the general chemistry education program for undergraduate classes.

By connecting with businesses, communities, and professionals, UO faculty members and students are discovering useful applications for their discoveries. They’re creating new composite nanomaterials, developing manufacturing methods that are “greener” and more efficient, and improving therapies for cardiovascular disease. The UO has issued seventy-six patents in the last decade, increasing its tech transfer activity fourfold. Applied science turns theory into practice, changing how we work and live — literally transforming lives.
