Huh is chairman of Sungsan Group and a partner in GS Holdings Corporation in Seoul, South Korea. The Huh family is the majority owner of Eugene-based Farwest Steel Corporation and considers Eugene their second home.
In 2002, the Huh family made a major gift to the UO’s Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art to establish a wing for Korean art. Farwest Steel made an additional gift to the museum in 2005, also to support Korean art. Huh is a former member of the Seoul Forum for International Affairs Council and a former trustee of Lewis and Clark College in Portland.
