1 FUTURE ITZHAK PERLMANS
Help UO music students learn by teaching while also making
it possible for children in the community to learn to
play stringed instruments. Sponsor a scholarship for a
student aged three to eighteen for string lessons in the
Community Music Institute at the School of Music and Dance

2 SPOTLIGHT ON FINANCE
Enhance the quality and national visibility of the finance
department in the Lundquist College of Business. Become
a Finance Partner by supporting scholarships for finance
students and research by faculty members and Ph.D. students
($5,000 per year for five years).

3 CREATE A DOCTOR
Help a graduate student complete his or her doctoral dissertation
by funding a graduate research fellowship in the Oregon
Humanities Center. Such fellowships enable students to
attend a conference to present a paper, travel to a library
or archive in another city or country to gather information,
or purchase books or other research materials ($750).

4 FOCUS ON NATURE
Help spark children’s interest in the environment
and the natural world with a gift of microscopes for the
UO Museum of Natural and Cultural History’s school
programs. ($189 per microscope or $1,000 to accommodate

5 OUTSTANDING IN THE FIELD
Give students in the School of Architecture and Allied
Arts hands-on learning experiences by sending them into
the field for design-build, historic preservation, or
urban architecture studies. Support a field-based learning

6 SCIENCE SAGE
Provide Clark Honors College students, one-fourth of whom
are science majors, with expert in-house mentoring in
the sciences. Fund an endowed chair for a senior science
professor who will spend half of his or her time providing
leadership on science issues for students and faculty
members in the Honors College ($1.2 million endowment).

Make sure UO journalism students learn to work with the
most current high-end computing and presentation hardware
and software. Help build the Technology Fund in the School

8 CLASSICAL MUSIC FOR KIDS
Inspire a love of classical music in 2,500 students in
ten Lane County elementary schools. Support a daily directed
listening program offered by the Oregon Bach Festival

9 EARLY AMERICAN LIFE
Make it possible for students, faculty members, and researchers
to understand what life was like for Native Americans
in the U.S. and Canada. Purchase for UO Libraries the
North American Indian Biographical Database, which contains
first-hand accounts of how Indians lived, thought, and
fought to protect their interests and a timeline of Indian
events cross-referenced by region and tribe ($28,000).

10 TRIBAL LAW LEGACY
Help secure the UO School of Law’s legacy as a national
leader in federal Indian and tribal law. Contribute to
the Oregon Tribes Professorship by March 2007 and your
