$17.2 million for MarAbel B. Frohnmayer Music Building renovation and expansion.
This project includes a $7.6 million state match for new and renovated facilities, which has been matched by an equal amount from private sources. Currently, the goal is to raise at least $1 million by December 2006 from private sources to match a $1 million challenge grant by Lorry Lokey, of Atherton, CA. This $2 million challenge will cover renovations to the existing building.

$1 million scholarship endowment.
Scholarship support for music and dance students will improve access, quality, and our ability to attract the finest and most talented students.

$1 million to equip the new building and provide instruments.
Better equipment will improve the quality of the music our students and faculty create. A significant need as a result of the new music building is to equip the teaching, practice and rehearsal spaces with pianos, as well as upgrade the existing inventory.

$500,000 for guest artists and scholars.
This endowment will provide a guaranteed annual funding source for program enrichment.

School of Music entrance.

“The School of Music prepared me in every way to fulfill my ambitions as a musician. It broadened my view of what was possible in the musical world and prepared me to meet those possibilities.”
Jerold Ottley, M. Ed. ’72
Retired director, Mormon Tabernacle Choir
