The first phase of the Integrative Science Complex will house the Oregon Nanoscience and Microtechnologies Institute underground to shield instruments from vibration and allow the UO to collaborate with other Oregon universities to revolutionize the technology industry.

Cost: $16 million
Funding: $6.5 million in private gifts, $9.5 million in state bonds
Timeline:
  • Groundbreaking: June 2006
  • Completion: Winter 2007
Project highlights:
The 30,000-square-foot College of Arts and Sciences/Research facility will house nanotechnology laboratory, office, and support space.

Features
