The new HEDCO Education Building in the UO College of Education Complex will provide modernized spaces for teaching and learning and enhance clinical program facilities in the highly ranked UO College of Education.

Cost:
$48 million
Funding:
$26.3 million in private gifts, $19.4 million in state bonds. The University is contributing 2 million for parking.
Timeline:
- Construction start: August 2007
- Completion: Summer 2009
Project highlights:
The new College of Education complex will include 65,000 square feet of new teaching and research space in the HEDCO Education Building, to be constructed near the current college site. Upgrades in existing historic buildings and the clinical services building are included as part of the project’s renovation of existing space.

- Specialized spaces for teaching, assessment, and therapeutic services
- Faculty research hub, student services center, and learning commons with computer access
- Integrated clinic facilities to serve the college’s three clinical programs—communication disorders and sciences, marriage and family therapy and counseling psychology
