Division of Graduate Studies

The Division of Graduate Studies lies at the very heart of what it means to be a premier public research university. By fostering excellence and innovation among a dynamic graduate student population, we help to provide a fertile environment in which to create new knowledge and ideas. The Division of Graduate Studies maintains strong partnerships with all university graduate programs in the schools and colleges in an effort to provide enrichment, professional development, and financial support to master’s and PhD students studying in over seventy-five programs.

Philanthropy is critical to our mission of enriching and enhancing the careers of graduate students. Donor-supported travel awards and innovative fellowships allow students to transport their research and education into the community—a critical part of any graduate student’s experience.

Philanthropy allows us to remove impediments to study through gifts that provide thesis and dissertation completion awards. Many talented students are committed to scholarship and research yet face financial challenges that require them to sacrifice their studies to sustain themselves. The difference our donors make in the lives of these students is immeasurable, not only for our students but for the world their knowledge will impact.
