Expanding Access

“Keeping our doors wide open to the best and brightest in our state and from around the world benefits each of us, our university, our community, and our nation.”

Investing in the Future

At the University of Oregon, you may create a scholarship in your name or in honor of someone special to you. By creating an endowed scholarship, you can support a particular college, school, or major. Your gift can fund scholarships for students with financial need or those who meet certain merit requirements.

You can support first-generation college students, applicants from a particular geographic region, or students enrolled in a specific major or program.

The minimum gift depends on whether you want to create an endowed scholarship or make a current gift. Endowed gifts support students in perpetuity and offer many options for shaping the criteria of your scholarship. Current gifts can be used immediately for student awards.

How you can partner with UO to support students

•    Start a named scholarship endowment at $100,000.
•    Support an existing scholarship with a gift of any size.
•    Create a named PathwayOregon Scholarship Endowment. PathwayOregon provides support for students with financial need.
•    Create a named Presidential Scholarship Endowment. Presidential Scholarships support high-achieving students.
•    Contribute through an estate gift. Many donors choose to include scholarships in their estate plans. To learn more, visit Gift Planning.
•    Provide support to students of a specific college, school, or program.
